Caitlin, was born and raised in Clinton ON, a small rural community. At a young age she aspired to be a funeral director. To solidify these aspirations in her early years of high school, Caitlin studied and researched the funeral profession and obtained a co-op position at her hometown funeral home. Learning a lot about the business and herself throughout this co-op position she felt called to follow this path in life. She attended the Funeral Services program at Humber College in Toronto. In 2007 she joined the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer family as an intern which lead to her success in graduating her college program and obtaining her Funeral Director’s License in 2008. In 2022, Caitlin became the Managing Funeral Director.
She is proud to call Pembroke home along with her husband and their 2 children.
Born and raised in Pembroke, Marie grew up playing sports, attended and graduated from Jeanne-Lajoie French Catholic High School. Graduate with honours from Humber College Funeral Service program in Toronto. Before going to Humber, Marie worked at the local pet crematorium, VRCS, now known as Gateway Pet Memorial. Marie is the handler of Marley, certified therapy dog with St.John’s Ambulance and enjoys their time as a volunteer in the community and providing daily comfort to families in need at the funeral home. Marie is a proud mom to daughter Claire. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family & friends and rejoices in the simple things life has to offer. Marie serves the people of her community like family and takes pride in creating a meaningful, respectful and memorable funeral service personalized to the needs of each family.

Marie-Josée a grandi à Pembroke et compléter ses études primaires et secondaires à l’école française catholique Jeanne-Lajoie . En 2020 elle a gradué avec honneur du programme de Service Funéraire (niveau 1-embaumeur). Avant d’aller au collège Humber, Marie-Josée à travaillée au crématorium d’animaux à Pembroke, VRCS, qui s’appelle maintenant « Gateway Pet Memorial ».
Marie-Josée possède avec fierté un certificat de l’Ambulance St. Jean qui lui permet de travailler avec son chien thérapeutique Marley qui est une chienne de race miniature Goldendoodle. Ensemble ils aiment faire du bénévolat dans la communauté ainsi que d’offrir du support moral et thérapeutique au gens dans leur moments difficiles au salon funéraire.
Marie-Josée est la fière maman d’une fille Claire. Dans ses moments de loisirs elle aime passer du temps avec sa famille et ses ami(e)s. Elle aime jouer et regarder certains sports et se réjouit des choses simples de la vie de tous les jours.
Marie-Josée se rend au service de sa communauté comme si c’était de la famille et continue toujours à maintenir des services mémorables, respectueux et digne pour chaque membre des familles qu’elle accompagne dans le deuil.
