A Funeral Directors Statement of Death is issued by the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home and is usually available to the family at the time of their aftercare meeting with our Funeral Directors. In most cases we provide 10 original copies signed by a Funeral Director and sealed with the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home Limited corporate seal. These Statements contain important information relating to the deceased such as your loved one's legal name, birthdate, date and place of death, final resting place, and Social Insurance Number - as well information relating to the Next of Kin). Funeral Directors Statements of Death are required for many estate matters such as Probate, Life Insurance Claims, Banking, Completion of Application's to the Canada Pension Plan for death benefits. Our Funeral Directors are always available to provide guidance to your family to ensure that you have received a sufficient number of Funeral Directors Statements of Death and to assist in answering any questions you may have regarding their purpose.
