Nancy Bérubé

Obituary of Nancy Bérubé

BÉRUBÉ, Nancy Marie Gisèle - passed away peacefully at her home, with family and friends by her side on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at the age of 50 years.

Nancy Bérubé of Petawawa, beloved daughter of Norbert Bérubé and the late Nicole Courchesne-Bérubé (2015) of Kapuskasing. Step-sister of Dany Bérubé of Quebec City. Aunt to Gabriel and sister-in-law of Sandra Dubois. Will be missed by many aunts, uncles and friends. Cherished best friend of Joceline Longtin-Larabie.

Our teams are saying goodbye to a formidable friend and driving force behind Fire Team K9's and K-9 Headquarters. Nancy served as Vice President of Fire Team K9s, Director of Animal Welfare and Certified Trainer. Her dream was the creation of K-9 Headquarters and we are so thankful that she was able to see her dream grow, from the ground up. Her passion for helping service members and first responders stems from her former careers as an Air Traffic Controller and Supply Technician with the Canadian Forces, as a Corrections Officer and an Officer with the OPP. She studied at Northern College Kirkland Lake, graduating top in her class. Her Service Dog, Professor Plum will continue to stay in the Fire Team Family and will be a frequent visitor at K-9 Headquarters.

Respecting Nancy’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Her ashes will rest with her mother’s in a columbarium in Drummondville, QC. Arrangements entrusted to the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, Pembroke. (As an expression of sympathy, donations to Fire Team K9 would be appreciated.)
