CHAPPELL, Winnifred (Winnie) Audrey (Retired from the Provincial Court Office in Pembroke and was a long-time volunteer with the Pembroke Police Service) - Passed away after a courageous battle with cancer in hospital, Pembroke on Friday, October 27th, 2006 at the age of 77 years. Winnie Chappell (nee Hastings) of 443 Moffat Street, Pembroke, and formerly of New Britain, Connecticut. Dearly loved mother and friend of Wendy Michael (husband Jason), Pembroke. Gramma to Sarah and Amy. Daughter of the late John and Bertha Hastings (nee Wells). Sister of Gladys Gillissie (husband late Ed), Kapuskasing; Robert (Bob) Hastings (wife Eleanor), Ottawa; and Bonnie Hastings (Richard Labrie), Ottawa. Predeceased by sister Edna Hastings. Survived by nieces and nephews. Winnie will be sadly missed by her dear friend Daphne Zander, Pembroke. Respecting Winnie's and the families wishes, there will be no visitation or service.
