SPICER, West 1922-2011 (WWII Veteran, past Master at Pembroke Masonic Lodge, Pembroke Tunis Shriners, Rotary Club, Teacher at General Panet 1965-1986) In hospital on August 8, 2011 at the age of 88 years. West Spicer of Pembroke, husband of Dorothy Spicer (nee Crinklaw). Loving father of Allan (Christine), London; Janet Sciba (Klaus), Pembroke; Jim (Faye), Belleville; Ruth Anne McCann (Daniel); Carolyn O'Connor (Steve); and Dorie Gagnon (Rob), all of Pembroke. He will be sadly missed by 14 grandchildren: Sandra Smith (Stephen), Jennifer Farrell (Todd), Kevin Spicer (June); Kiersten Sciba (Kat), Rhea Sciba; Erin Spicer-Boland (Nathan), Bill Spicer (Kate), Oliver Spicer; Cory McCann (Erin), Holly McCann (Dennis); Scott O'Connor, Shawn O'Connor; Chris Gagnon (Meagan), and Jessica Gagnon and 3 great-grandchildren: Kiera, Paige and Declan. Fondly remembered by siblings Bob (Ivey), Lorne (Rosa), Jerrold (late Grace), Edith Manzer (late Bob), Betty Patience (late Cecil), Marie Harvey (late Charlie), Ruth Mott (late Al), and Rick (Marilyn). Predeceased by siblings Laurine Linton (late Red), and John (late Donna). Visitation will be held at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Friday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 11:00. Interment in Wesley United Cemetery. Members of the Pembroke Lodge, AF & AM #128 are requested to assemble at the Funeral Home for Service Friday at 7:00 p.m. (In lieu of flowers, donations to the Masonic Lodge or the Pembroke Regional Hospital would be appreciated.)
