Weldon Remus

Remus, Weldon Passed away to his eternal home, peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, March 27, 2017 in the Pembroke Regional Hospital at the age of 91. Dearly loved husband of Marion Remus (nee Gahr) and by first marriage the late Emgart Brandenburg. Dear father of Margo (Gary) Schwantz, Pembroke; Vicki (Mike) Wetmore, Jasper, Alberta; Peter (Marian), Kanata and Ron (Giselle) Gibson, Pembroke. Proud grandfather of Erika (Phil), Corey (Cheryl), Trina (Ryan), Adam (Brittany), Juliana, Tyrel, Bradley (Sara), Curtis and Travis. Great-grandfather of Hayden, Reid, Emme and Caleb. Son of the late Herbert and Alice Remus. Brother of Jean Wakeling (the late Arnold). Pre-deceased by brother Elmer Remus (Francine). He will be missed by his nieces, nephews and extended family. Memorial visitation will be held at the Malcolm, Deavitt and Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Thursday, March 30th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A memorial service will be held in St. John's Lutheran Church, Pembroke on Friday at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation or St. John's Lutheran Church, Pembroke.
