Wally Gimson

GIMSON, Wallace Richard "Wally" (retired from AECL after 35 years of dedication and former player of the Pembroke Little Lumber Kings) - passed away peacefully at Marianhill on Friday, December 18, 2015 in his 84th year. Wally Gimson of Pembroke, dearly loved husband of the late Irma Gimson (nee Wilson). Dear father of Kim Neadow (husband Colin), Pembroke; Barry Gimson (wife Bonnie), Pembroke and Jane Hughes (husband Floyd), North Bay. Grandpa to Matthew (Jennifer), Sarah (Andrew Connors) & Cory Neadow; Shanda & Krista Gimson (Jake Hopkins); and Morgan & Taylor Hughes; and Great-Grandpa to Joshua & Jonathan. Son of the late Gordon & Virgina Gimson (nee Levesque). Brother of Rita Dobson (late Gerry). Predeceased by siblings Howard, Rae Gauthier (late Tuffer), Boyd (late Dorothy), Roy and Janet "Tootsie" Christink (late Emerson). Resting at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew Street, Pembroke on Sunday, December 20, 2015 from 2-4 and 7 -9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in Holy Trinity Anglican Church on Monday at 11:00 a.m., followed by cremation and interment in Holy Trinity Anglican Cemetery.
