RICHARDS, Violet - passed away peacefully at the Ottawa Civic Hospital on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 in her 99th year. Violet Richards (nee Rabishaw) of Pembroke, wife of the late Sydney Richards. Dear mother of Brenda LeBlanc, Aylmer QC; and Dean Richards (Maria), Pembroke. Granny to Rachel (Mike) & Joanne (Cliff); and Levi (Heather); as well as great-grandchildren Nathan & Hannah. Sister of Dawley Dickerson, Chalk River. Daughter of the late Robert & Annie Rabishaw (nee Huckabone). Predeceased by brothers John, Robert, Ken, James & Bennett Rabishaw; and sisters Eva Cotnam, Fannie Lance, Carrie Demers, Vera Dickerson & Marion Turcotte. Survived by sisters-in-law Margaret, Iris & Priscilla Rabishaw. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Violet was a long-time employee of Woolworths in Pembroke and will be missed by many friends. Visitation at the MALCOLM, DEAVITT & BINHAMMER FUNERAL HOME, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Friday from 2 to 4:00 and 7 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in First Presbyterian Church, Pembroke on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Spring Interment in Calvin/First Presbyterian Cemetery.
