YOUNG, Versil Wellington (38 years with the Pembroke Police) Passed away at the Pembroke Regional Hospital on Sunday, January 29, 2012 in his 83rd year. Versil Young of Pembroke, beloved husband of Leona Young (nee Koops). Dear father of John Young (Jane), Pembroke; Melanie Eichstaedt (Ian), Petawawa; and Paul Young (Kesha), Ottawa. Grandfather of Caleb, Emma, Liam & Aidan; Lucas; and James & Grace. Brother of Idena Sheehan (Al), Vancouver BC. Son of the late John & Georgina Young (nee Stone). Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Versil was an avid supporter of children's sports in his community. Visitation at the MALCOLM, DEAVITT & BINHAMMER FUNERAL HOME, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Wednesday from 2 to 4:00 and 7 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be in St. Timothy's Lutheran Church, Pembroke on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Spring Interment in Zion-St. Timothy's Lutheran Cemetery, Pembroke.
