STRESMAN, Verner Albert – passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 in his 104th year.
Verner Stresman of Petawawa, husband of the late Elsie Stresman (Stencell, nee Swan) and by first marriage the late Margaret Stresman (nee Klentz). Father of Linda Bernhard (Ron), Salmon Arm, B.C. and the late Mary Smith (late Don). Step-father of August Stencell (Colette), Pembroke; Harold Stencell (Leah), Renfrew; Kenny Stencell (late Shirley), Pembroke; Larry Stencell (Maureen), Massey; Orville Stencell, Pembroke; David Stencell, Pembroke; the late Ruby Jurevicius (late Zigfrid); and the late Welland Stencell (Mary). Son of the late Charles and Annie Stresman (nee Duchrow). Predeceased by brothers Ewald (late Mable), Edward (late Frances), Herbert (late Olga), Theodore (late Elda), August (late Myrtle) and by sisters Arpa Remus (late Edward), Selma Gould (late Gordon) and Esther Stresman. Survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 from 7-9 p.m. and on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Pembroke on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Pembroke/Petawawa Lions Club or St. John’s Lutheran Church would be appreciated. Donations can be made by cheque payable to the charity or by cash and mailed to Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, PO BOX 74, Pembroke ON, K8A 6X1 or delivered in person.
