Verla Lucille Jones

JONES, Verla Lucille – passed away peacefully at the Pembroke Regional Hospital on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at the age of 80 years. 

Verla Jones (nee Gardiner) of Pembroke, wife of the late Reginald Jones. Dear mother to Jennifer Jones, Pembroke. Dearly loved nanny to Tiara, Lacie, and Summer. Verla is survived by her sisters Shirley, Margaret, Helen, Diane and by her brother Richard. She was predeceased by her parents Venus (PeeWee) and Lola Gardiner (nee Gainford), and by her siblings Patricia, Phyllis, Larry, Ronald, and Douglas. Verla is also survived by several nieces and nephews and by many dear friends. 

The family wishes to send a heartfelt thank you to Verla’s PSW’s, Beth, Sylvie, and Dora and to Chippure Lafreniere for his generosity. 

A graveside service will be held at the First Baptist Cemetery, Pembroke, on Friday, May 17, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. In memory of Verla, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Online condolences/donations may be made at www.mdbfuneralhome.com
