RISTO, Vera Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, November 7, 2005 in her 92nd year. Vera Risto of Pembroke and formerly of Ottawa wife of the late Elmer Risto. Dear father of Philip Risto (wife Louise), Munster Hamlet; Robert Risto (wife Joanne), Port Coquitlam, B.C.; Kent Risto of Pembroke and Gayle Thompson (husband Robert), also of Pembroke. Grandmother to Geoffrey Risto; Holly Risto; Jessie Risto; Wayne Thompson and Bruce Thompson (wife Melanie). Great-grandmother to Caleb, Leah, and Naomi Thompson. Predeceased by her brother Bill Bamber and her sister Anne Cook, both of England. Survived by her brother-in-law Gerald Risto (wife Dorothy) of Kingston and by her sister-in-law Frances Risto of Toronto. Also survived by her nephews Frank Reginald Heinz (wife Evelyn), Ocala, Florida, USA and Tony Bamber (wife Alice), England. Resting at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Thursday from 2 until 4:00 and 7 until 9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday, November 11, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. Interment in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. A reception will follow in Hamilton Hall, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke. (As an expression of sympathy donations to the Salvation Army would be appreciated).
