Uliwine Ethel VanWert

VanWert, Uliwine – Passed peacefully at Pembroke Regional Hospital with her loving family by her side on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at the age of 92 years.

 

Uliwine Ethel VanWert (nee Nieman) of Pembroke, wife of the late Donald VanWert. Dearly loved mother of Donna Rielly (Wayne) of Pembroke, Judy Zandstra (the late Hans and Kevin Nagora) of Pembroke, Debbie Dament (Wayne) of Orleans, Shelley Morris (Brian) of Pembroke, and the late Michael VanWert.  Grandma to Patrick Rielly (Erin); Bradley Zandstra (Alicia) & the late infant Stephanie Zandstra; Jennifer Dament (Alex Kiebbe) & Philip Dament; and Brittany Morris (Johnny Cheong) & Ashley Morris (David Bertrand).  Great-Grandma Lou to Bridget & Connor; Ivy & Coen; and Aria. Sister of Elroy Nieman (late Shirley). Predeceased by siblings Sidney, Gordon, Norman, Sam, Geneva, Ruby, and Grace. Survived by many nieces and nephews.

Respecting Uliwine’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family graveside service will be held at Zion Evangelical United Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to Diabetes Canada or Ostomy Canada Society.
