NOLAN, Shirley Lois - Passed away peacefully at Miramichi Lodge on Friday, August 26th, 2016 in her 86th year. Shirley Nolan (nee Thom), wife of the late John (Jack) Nolan. Dear mother of Judith "Judy" Hill (Russell), Petawawa; Kenneth Nolan (Wilma); & Jeffrey Nolan, both of Kanata and the late Douglas Nolan. Grandma to Brent, Jason, Kevin (Catherine), Tara, Tyler, Kyle & Ryan, and great-grandma to Owen & Ellie Hill. Sister of Doris Biesenthal (late Harry), Pembroke. Predeceased by her parents John & Freida Thom (nee Yahn), and brothers Harold Thom (late Gloria), Eldon Thom (late Viola), Roy Thom (Ruth), & Earl Thom (late Iris). Survived by many nieces and nephews. Our family wishes to thank the staff at Miramichi Lodge, especially floor 2B for their compassionate care of our mother. Visitation will be held at the MALCOLM, DEAVITT & BINHAMMER FUNERAL HOME, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Tuesday, August 30th from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. followed by a service in St. John's Lutheran Church, Petawawa at 2:30 p.m. (As an expression of sympathy donations to the Miramichi Lodge Foundation would be appreciated.)
