Sharon Binzig

BINZIG, Sharon - suddenly and unexpectedly at home on Saturday, November 26, 2016 in her 68th year. Sharon Binzig (nee Scherbluk) of Petawawa, cherished wife of Ben Binzig. Doting mother of Breena Binzig, Rockland; and Krissy Binzig (Serge Lejeune), Ottawa. Daughter of the late William and Josephine Scherbluk (nee Slobodian). Sister of Mike Scherbluk and Eleanor Weigel. Predeceased by brother Reggie Scherbluk (Sylvia). Sharon will be remembered by Craig and his family as well as many nieces and nephews. Sharon had a passion for taking care of others, making generous donations and volunteering. She was a dedicated volunteer for over 35 years to the Petawawa Skating Club and Skate Canada. A Memorial Gathering to celebrate Sharon's life will be held at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Friday, December 9, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Salvation Army or the SPCA would be appreciated.
