DENYER, Ruth Agnes Passed away peacefully at Miramichi Lodge on Thursday, March 23, 2006 with her children by her side at the age of 83 years. Ruth Denyer (nee Hawthorne), resident of Petawawa since the early 1950's was born on September 22, 1922 in McAdam, New Brunswick. Beloved wife of 38 years to the late Donald Denyer. Dearly loved mother of Mike Denyer, Petawawa and Kim Parent (Gene), Cochrane, AB. Nanny to Richard and Courtenay. Sister of Beatrice Gardiner, New Brunswick; Earl Hawthorne (Minnie), Salmon Arm, BC and David Hawthorne, Ontario. Predeceased by brothers Hazen, Orlow, Howard, James, Harry and sister Martha. Survived by several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff of Miramichi Lodge for their excellent care. Ruth was a long time member of All Saints Anglican Church and the ladies' auxilliary, member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 517 Petawawa and was an active Girl Guide Leader "Rusty" for over 25 years. Ruth was also an active volunteer at the Petawawa Thrift Store for many years. She will be sadly missed by her many friends and neighbours. Resting at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Sunday from 2 until 4:00 and 7 until 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the All Saints Anglican Church, Petawawa on Monday, March 27th, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. Spring Interment in the parish cemetery. (As an expression of sympathy donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated). Members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 517 Petawawa are requested to assemble at the funeral home on Sunday evening at 7:30 p.m. for a service.
