LOXTON, Russell Everett – it is with heavy hearts that the family announces that Russell passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at the age of 78 years.
Russell Loxton was born on June 4, 1945, in Trout Creek, ON. Russell was predeceased by his loving wife Lana (nee Plummer), by his devoted son David, by his parents, Garnet and Irene Loxton (nee Heath), his sister Betty and his brother Harvey. Russell is survived by his son Johnny and by his sister Jackie (Jim) Haggart. He shared a special bond with his great niece Serenity, who he loved so dearly and enjoyed the times they spent together. Russell will be deeply missed by his “honorary friend” Vinny, by his many nieces and nephews, and by all who knew him.
Russell was an avid fisherman and hunter, loved demolition derbies, watching wrestling and loved the occasional case of beer and bottle of whiskey.
Respecting Russell’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A graveside service and burial will take place at Westmeath Union Cemetery, Westmeath, on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. In memory of Russell, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
