Roy Thistle

THISTLE, Roy, retired RCD and R.A.F. Passed away at the Pembroke Regional Hospital on Saturday, Oct. 19th, 2013 at the age of 94 years. Roy Thistle, beloved husband of Eveline (nee Hawes). Loved father of Jean (the late David) Hynes. Loving grandfather of David (Leanne) Hynes and Michael (Angela) Hynes. Loving great grandfather to Sarah and Grace. Survived by his sister Laura (Harry) of Newfoundland and brothers Cal (Phylis) and Jim (Melvina) as well as his cousin Sam (Colleen). Predeceased by his parents Alexander and Laura Maude (nee Martin), his brother Bector and sister Shirley. Roy was a 46 year member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 72. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the MALCOLM, DEAVITT & BINHAMMER FUNERAL HOME, Pembroke.
