O'BRIEN, Roy E. - passed away peacefully, after a short battle with cancer, at St. Mary's of the Lake Hospital, Kingston on Sunday, August 3, 2014 at the age of 77 years. Roy O'Brien, beloved and caring husband and best friend to Lola O'Brien (nee Ross). Treasured father of Steve (Elizabeth), Calgary AB; Shelley Diemer (Michael), Aliso Viejo CA; Colleen O'Brien (Andy), Oakville; & Tina Thor (Greg), Ottawa. Cherished Grandpa to Joshua, Zachary & Brandon O'Brien; Derek Diemer; Jessica & Scott O'Brien; and Ryan, Alena & Tara Thor. Brother of Sheila Murray, John Farquharson & Ann O'Dacre. Predeceased by his parents Harold & Jean O'Brien (nee Giesebrecht); sister Maureen Russell & brother Jack O'Brien. A Funeral Service will be held in All Saint's Anglican Church, Petawawa on Monday, August 11, 2014 at 11:00 a.m., followed by interment in the parish cemetery.
