Robert Dickson

DICKSON, Robert (Rocky) - passed away peacefully at the Ottawa Heart Institute in his 86th year. Robert Dickson of Petawawa, retired Warrant Officer, Canadian Forces with RCEME and Strathcona Horse for 30 years. He served with UN Forces in Egypt, Congo and Cyprus. Beloved husband of Joyce Dickson of Petawawa; and father of their only son, Ken Dickson of Athabasca, Alberta. Robert was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Isobella Dickson of Edmonton, Alberta; and his sister, June Laking of Vancouver, B.C. Survived by his sister-in-law, Doreen Dean of Toronto as well as several nieces and a nephew in Toronto and Vancouver. Robert will be sadly missed by his hunt camp buddies and especially by his best friend of many years, Bill Goundry, who kept vigil in his last hours. By Robert's request there will be no visitation. Interment will be in Calvin United Cemetery with a family graveside service. Arrangements by the MALCOLM, DEAVITT & BINHAMMER FUNERAL HOME, Pembroke.
