Dr. Robert "Bob" Douglas Lisk

LISK, Robert “Bob” Douglas, PhD, passed away peacefully at the Ottawa Civic Hospital on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at the age of 88. 

Dr. Bob Lisk of Golden Lake was predeceased by his parents Leslie and Elsie Lisk (nee Yantha). Bob is lovingly remembered by many cousins and friends. 

Bob obtained his undergraduate degrees at Queen’s University in Kingston and received his PhD at Princeton University. It was at Princeton University where he taught biology as a professor until the time of his retirement. Bob had a love of music, and his passion was being the organist at Zion Evangelical United Church where he played for many years. 

At Bob’s request, there will be no visitation. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Zion Evangelical United Church, Pembroke. Interment will be held at Zion Evangelical United Cemetery. In memory of Bob, donations may be made to the Renfrew County SPCA, or the Canadian Cancer Society.
