FISCHER, Richard (Retired 44-year employee of the Bank of Nova Scotia) Peacefully at Jubilee Lodge Nursing Home, Edmonton Alberta, on Friday, March 11, 2011 at the age of 82 years. 

Richard Fischer, of Pembroke, dearly loved husband of June Fischer (nee Griffith). Beloved father of Barbara Fischer, Toronto; Paula Mears (Michael), Beaumont, AB; and Rob Fischer (Jillian), Mississauga. Grandpa to Heather & Tim Mears and Adam, Evan & Isaac Fischer. Son of the late Arthur and Alma Fischer (nee St. Denis). Brother of the late Eldon Fischer (Viona), Pembroke. Brother-in-law to Ron Griffith, Ottawa and Joyce Moore-Cowan (Peter), Pembroke. Predeceased by sister-in-law Shirley Johnston (Chris). Survived by several nieces and nephews and close friend Murray Moore, Pembroke. Respecting Richard's wishes there will be no visitation or service at this time. 

A graveside service has been arranged by the family at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Boundary Rd., Pembroke, Ontario on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Fellowship and luncheon to follow at 11:30 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church Parish Hall, 357 Miller St., Pembroke.
