Rene Charbonneau of Pembroke, beloved husband of Jean Charbonneau (nee Laforce) and by first marriage the late Rita Paquette. Dear father of Steven (wife Carolyn), Vancouver, BC; Lorraine Page (husband Bob), Ottawa; John, Ottawa; David (wife Wanda), Calgary AB; Karen, Ottawa; Allan, Ottawa; Robert, Ottawa; and Joyce Constantino (husband Mark), Brockville. Grandfather of numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Predeceased by son Rene Charbonneau Jr. Brother to Hector Charbonneau (Jeannine), Ottawa; Doris Charbonneau, Ottawa; and George, Windsor. Predeceased by parents Hector and Violet Charbonneau (nee Wallace). Predeceased by brothers Leo, Howard, Fred, and Marcel and sisters Pearl and Aurelle. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Resting at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew Street, Pembroke on Monday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m.; and Tuesday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Prayers of Funeral Liturgy in the Chapel on Tuesday at 11 a.m. (As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Petawawa Legion Poppy Fund would be appreciated).
