Rachel Pleau

Pleau, Rachel – passed away with loving family by her side at the Queensway Carleton Hospital on Friday, August 30, 2019 in her 32nd year.

Rachel Pleau of Pembroke, the warm-hearted sunshine in the lives of her mother Cathy Kinnear, father Kevin Pleau (Lise), sister Amy Schultz (Peter) and step-brother Trevor Gagnon.  Lovingly remembered by grandmother Freda Kinnear and grandfather Mervin Kinnear.  Predeceased by mémère Clemence Pleau and pépère Joseph Pleau.  “Nanny”, great-grandmother, the late Iva Kinnear (and her beans) held a special place in Rachel’s heart.  Rachel will be in the hearts of her many aunts, uncles and cousins. 

Rachel’s family wishes to express extreme gratitude to the Queensway Carleton Hospital ICU staff for their compassionate care of both Rachel and her family.   

Rachel enjoyed sharing her time, kindness and love with all those she met, please join the family at Calvary Baptist Church, Pembroke on Saturday, September 7, 2019 from 12-1:45 p.m. to share those memories followed by a Service of Remembrance at 2:00 p.m.  Interment of ashes in Beachburg Union Cemetery.  Arrangements entrusted to the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home.  To honour Rachel’s love of books, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Pembroke Public Library would be appreciated.  Online donations/condolences are available at www.mdbfunerahome.com.
