Norman Tipping

TIPPING, Norman Leonard (33 years in the Armoured Corps, Ret’d RCD) – passed away peacefully at Marianhill, with his loving wife of 60 years by his side on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at the age of 80 years.

Norman Tipping of Petawawa, beloved husband of Reby Tipping (nee Buchanan).  Dear father of Heather LaFroy (Robert) & Wendy Woodrow (Todd), both of Petawawa; and cherished Grampie to Samantha & RJ (Jessica) LaFroy and Paige Woodrow.  Son of the late George and Annie Tipping (nee McKenzie) of Halifax.  Norman was very well known and loved in the community.  He always had a smile for everyone, and a handful of candy everywhere he went.

Respecting Norman’s wishes, cremation has taken place.  Due to the current pandemic restrictions, a private memorial service for the immediate family will be held at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home Chapel, with interment in Calvin United Cemetery, Pembroke.  Family and friends are invited to share in this service online on Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at 2:00 p.m., and a public celebration of Norman’s life will also be held at a later date.  (As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Ottawa Heart Institute would be appreciated.)  Online condolences and donations are available at www.mdbfuneralhome.com.
