ZDYRKO, Nicholas "Zeke" (WWII Veteran)
Passed away peacefully with family by his side at Miramichi Lodge on Sunday, January 16th, 2005 in his 85th year.
Nicholas Zdyrko of Pembroke beloved husband of Florence (nee Mattinson). Dearly loved dad to Peter Zdyrko, Pembroke; Sandra Laporte (Mark), Ottawa; Suzanne Crozier (James), Renfrew; Phillip Zdyrko (Brenda), Edmonton, Alberta; David Zdyrko (Laura), Eganville; and Warren Zdyrko (Angela), Orleans. Grandpa to Daniel & Bradley; Mallory & Michael; Ryan & Jonathan; Tanya, Brett & Nicholas; and Wesley & Colby. Brother to Gladys Mitchell, Victoria, B.C. and Paul Zdyrko, Winnipeg, MB. Predeceased by sister Mary Myles (Wilfred). Survived by many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces & grand-nephews. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to staff of Miramichi Lodge for their care & kindness. Dad was very proud of his service (over 40 years) in the Canadian Forces.
Resting at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Thursday from 2 until 4:00 & 7 until 9:00 p.m. and after 9:30 a.m. on Friday. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Our Lady of Lourdes Church on Friday, January 21st, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St. Columbas Cemetery. (As an expression of sympathy donations to the Diabetes Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated). Members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 72 are requested to assemble at the funeral home on Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m for a service.
