Mitchell Roger St Cyr

It is with great sadness that we share the unexpected passing of our son, Mitchell Roger St Cyr, at home in Ottawa, at the young age of 30 years.

Mitchell is the much-loved son of Heidi and Randy Hosken and Roger and Krista St Cyr. Loving brother of Renee St Cyr and Zachary Hosken. Treasured grandson of Garry and Lucy Vandenberge, Rene and Judy St Cyr, Al and Pauline Contois, and Kae and Gerry Poupore. Loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and co-workers.

Predeceased by his loving partner Iain Frisken of Ottawa.

Mitchell was a graduate of the Social Service Worker program at Cambrian College in Sudbury. He had a passion for outreach work and was dedicated to serving those that were struggling in the community and in need of assistance. He loved his family, his friends and his dogs Hercules and Kona. His infectious personality inspired everyone he encountered. He will be forever loved and missed by many.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held in Pembroke at Malcolm, Deavitt and Binhammer Funeral Home on Saturday, July 27, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Another celebration of life will be held in Sudbury at a later date. 

In memory of Mitchell, donations may be made to the Salvation Army Street Outreach Services, Ottawa (Cheque payable to Ottawa Booth Centre - Street Outreach team); the OSPCA, the Ontario Humane Society, or any LGBTQ2S+ cause.
