Miklos "Mike" Karoly

Passed away at the Pembroke Regional Hospital on Friday, September 15, 2023, at 87 years old.  Predeceased by his beloved wife Isobel Karoly (nee Dagg).  Loving father of Sharon Gorr (Dave). Deeply cherished father and long-time friend of Laurent Vaillancourt.  Proud pappy of Tanya Dunne (Luke), Melissa Gregoire (Reid), Matthew Vaillancourt (Kelsey Scrim), Amanda Lariviere (Brandon) and Timothy Gorr; and grand pappy of Emma Dunne, Kobe Gregoire, Hayden Vaillancourt, Landon Vaillancourt and Holden Larivière.  Fondly remembered by his many friends and extended family.  Mike emigrated from Budapest to Canada at the age of 25.  He then met the love of his life and settled in Pembroke.   Known as an avid gardener, more specifically for his vegetable garden and a dedicated Montreal Canadians fan. Cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will take place at the Pembroke Pentecostal Cemetery.  The family wishes to thank the caring staff at Heritage Manor, Pembroke Regional Hospital and the Deep River hospital.  For those wishing, donations may be made to the Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation.
