VERCH, Meta Edna Elenore - passed away at the Ottawa General Hospital on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at the age of 96 years. Meta Verch (nee Heidemann) of Pembroke, wife of the late Walter Verch. Dear mother of Ralph (Muriel), Wilmer (late Elaine) & Brian (Theresa), all of Pembroke. Grandmother of Tawnya Painchaud (Rob) & April Verch; Melissa Boldt (Devon), Ashley McNary (Glynn), Kyle & Joshua Verch; and Gregory (Anne) & Grant (Shannon) Verch. Great-grandmother of Liam Thomas & Chelsea Painchaud; Griffin & Hailey Boldt; and Sophie Verch. Daughter of the late August & Elisa Heidemann (nee Bliese). Predeceased by sisters Adeline Hoffman (late Alfred) & Loretta Plath (late Edmund); and brothers Waldemar, Eckbert, Alfred (late Meta) & Wilbert (late Betty, late Olive) Heidemann. Sister-in-law to Beatrice Verch & Wesley Fick (late Martha). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Sunday, August 23, 2015 from 2 to 4:00 and 7 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Woito Station Road on Monday at 11:00 a.m. Interment in the parish cemetery.
