DAKIN, Merle Dora Passed away at her home in Petawawa on Monday, November 7, 2011 in her 86th year. Merle Dakin (nee Nickerson) of Petawawa, dearly loved wife of Richard Dakin. Dear mother of Laurie Dakin, Pembroke; Joanne Sharpe (Eric), Harry's Harbour NL; Christopher Dakin (Wilma), Lansdowne; and Betty-Ann AuCoin (Jerry), Calgary AB. Grandmother of Kimberley Dakin, Windsor; Vanessa Dakin-Marin (Claudia), Windsor; & Miranda Kittmer (Andrew), Deep River; Tony Sharpe, Angus; & Darryl Sharpe, Alliston; Kattie Scriver (Stephen), Kingston; & Michael Dakin (Madeline), Kingston; and Kendra AuCoin, Calgary AB; as well as 7 great-grandchildren. Daughter of the late Austin and Matilda Nickerson (nee Hopkins). Predeceased by 7 brothers & sisters. Survived by many nieces and nephews.
