McKAY, Melvin (Mel) William In hospital, Pembroke on Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at the age of 91 years. Mel McKay of 1130 Victoria Street, Petawawa, husband of the late Ruth McKay (nee Adams). Dear father of Donnie McKay (wife Gilda), Petawawa; Mary Jewkes, Petawawa; Elizabeth Lowther (husband Carman), Florida; Melvin McKay, Petawawa; and Charles McKay (wife Cathy), Petawawa. Grandfather to 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Son of the late Lawrence and Eva McKay. Predeceased by brothers Carl and Harry McKay. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 517, Petawawa on Friday, September 26th at 3 p.m. (As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Veterans Affairs or Canadian Cancer Society Transportation Program would be appreciated).
