LAPORTE, Melba Helena (Mackey) Peacefully in Supple's Landing, Pembroke on Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at the age of 88 years. Mackey Laporte (nee Mulligan), formerly of LaPasse, wife and best friend of the late Arnel Laporte. Dearly loved mother of Sheryl Gervais (Robert), Westmeath; Lynn McMullen (Gordon), Westmeath; and Robert Laporte (Carol), Thunder Bay. Grandma to Lesley Gervais (Jamie Marleau), Leanna Fitzpatrick (Jon), Lauren Mark (Brendan), Derek Laporte (Sara), Meagan Laporte, Ryan Laporte, Kyle Laporte (Tara), Brittany McMullen; Bradley McMullen (Lianne), Brent McMullen (Cynthia), Ben McMullen (Jessica);and great-grandchildren Barrett and Brinna Fitzpatrick; Hailen Laporte; Kiersten and Ethan McMullen. Daughter of the late Howard and Mary Mulligan (nee Morrison). Predeceased by sister Florence Mulligan; brothers Clayton (Noella), Fort Coulonge; Bob; George; Iveson; Amos (Wilma), Toronto; Merton (late Madeline), William (Bill); Walter; and uncle Dr. Walter Mulligan. Aunt Mackey will be missed by her many nieces, nephews and friends. Mackey's family wishes to thank the management and staff of Supple's Landing for all their kindness and caring. Resting at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, l4l Renfrew Street, Pembroke on Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.; and Monday from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Service in St. Andrew's United Church, Westmeath on Monday at 2 p.m. followed by cremation. Interment in St. Andrew's Presbyterian Cemetery, Fort Coulonge.
