EDWARDS, Mel Passed away suddenly, but peacefully with his family by his side at the Pembroke Regional Hospital on Wednesday, April 26th, 2006 in his 66th year. Mel Edwards of Pembroke and formerly of Ottawa, beloved husband of Beverly Edwards (nee Weisenberg). Dearly loved father of Steve Edwards, Pembroke; Cheryl Edwards (Bill Jarvis), Ottawa; Stacy Edwards, Ottawa; and Derek Edwards, Ottawa. Grandfather of Stefanie, Taylor & Sylvie. Brother of Terry Edwards (wife Lou-Ann), Ottawa. Predeceased by his parents Isaac and Freda Edwards (nee Fortier). Survived by nieces, nephews and several brothers & sisters-in-law. He will be sadly missed by his many friends in the Pembroke and Ottawa area. Resting at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Friday from 2 to 4:00 and 7 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in Zion Lutheran Church on Saturday, April 29th, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Zion Lutheran Cemetery.
