PIETERSMA, Mary Almena In the Country Haven Retirement Home, Beachburg on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at the age of 70 years. Mary Pietersma (nee Neilson) of R. R. # 2, Pembroke, dearly loved wife of Bob Pietersma. Dear mother of Brenda Gervais, Peterborough; Debbie Gervais (Al Clayton), North Gower; and Diana Gervais, Carleton Place. Nana to Benjamin. Daughter of the late Christian "William" and Lena Neilson (nee Scharf). Sister of Bert (wife Helene), Clay (wife Jean), Barrie (wife Joan), and Bill Neilson (wife Ann); and sister Edith Brown (husband Martin). Predeceased brother Roy Neilson and sister Loretta Cullen (late Alfred). Mary's family wishes to thank the staff of the Country Haven Retirement Home and the community for all their care and compassion during her illness. Respecting Mary's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held in the Grace United Church, Perretton on Saturday, May 7th at 11 a.m. (As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society).
