BIESENTHAL, Marvin Melvin - suddenly at the Pembroke Regional Hospital on Saturday, May 28, 2016 in his 73rd year. Marvin Biesenthal of Pembroke, best friend and beloved husband of 49 years to Sharon Biesenthal (nee Grife). Loved & cherished father to Julie Johnstone (Jim), Oakville; and Kelly Kellough (Trevor), Deep River. Loving and treasured Grandpa & Poppa to Christopher & Michael Johnstone; and Jackson & Allison Kellough. Dear brother of Darlene Hoffman (Arlie), North Bay; and brother-in-law to David Grife (Gale), Heather Gagne (Dan) & Peter Grife (Gwen). Son of the late Alfred & Mable Biesenthal (nee Mielke). Marvin taught elementary school in Pembroke for 34 years, and was well respected by his colleagues and students. He had a passion for teaching & gardening and will be dearly missed by his family and all who knew him. Visitation at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 from 2 to 4:00 and 7 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in St. John's Lutheran Church, Pembroke on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Interment in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery.
