Marjorie Greenway

GREENWAY, Marjorie Ilene (nee Scott) Of Ottawa and formerly of Deep River and Russell, ON, passed away peacefully at New Orchard Lodge on Tuesday, July 24th, 2012, in her 95th year. Beloved wife of the late Robert Westlake Greenway. Mother of Donald Scott Greenway of Port Elgin, ON. Sister of the late Lois Eadie. Aunt to Murray & Joan, Connie & John and their families, and many nieces and nephews in the Greenway family. Marjorie grew up on a farm north of Russell. After her schooling, she worked as a secretary where she met Bob. They were married in 1942, and had their son Don in 1945. In the early 1950's they moved to Deep River where Bob was employed at AECL in Chalk River. Marge was a nursery school teacher in town. She volunteered at the hospital and library for many years. She enjoyed gardening, golfing, knitting, bridge, her violets and was an avid reader. The family wish to thank the staff and Dr. Griffith at New Orchard Lodge for their care of Marge over the past 14 years. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 28th at 2 pm at Deep River Community Church in Deep River. Inurnment following the service.
