Marilyn Louise Rutz

RUTZ, Marilyn Louise - passed away peacefully, Saturday, October 15, 2022 in her 86th year.

Marilyn Rutz (nee Goldberg) of Pembroke, devoted wife and best friend of 60 years to the late Harvey Rutz (2015). Loving mother of her dearest Cheryl McEwen (Blaine), Gillan Rutz (Ann Marie), Linda Tennian (Tim) & Murray Rutz (Donna). Cherished by her grandchildren Jason McEwen, Matthew McEwen, Eric McEwen, Ben Rutz, Amy McKenzie, Alison Petit, Holly Molenaar, Erin Howat, Kaitie Heagle, Tanner Rutz and Kelly Johnston and her 18 great-grandchildren.  Daughter of the late Martin and Louise Goldberg (nee Kropp).  The youngest of six children, Marilyn was predeceased by her three brothers and two sisters, Wallace Goldberg, Edwin Goldberg, Willard Goldberg, Lenora Hoffman and Esther Bork.

Mom's whole life was family, and her family was honoured to have her as one of our greatest blessings.

A very special thank you to all of mom's personal caregivers - your kindness will always be remembered.

Respecting Marilyn’s wishes, a private family funeral service was held in St. Timothy's Lutheran Church. Interment in Zion/St. Timothy's Lutheran Cemetery, Pembroke. (In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations to Pembroke Regional Hospital Cancer Care Campaign, St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church or Renfrew County SPCA would be appreciated.)
