JOHNSON, Marilyn Janice (nee Collins) - on Thursday February 3rd, 2005, after a life full of love, loyalty and passion, following a lengthy battle with cancer that she fought every step of the way, at the Elizabeth Bruyere Health Centre, Ottawa. Age 62. Marilyn Johnson of Pembroke, wife of Michael Johnson. Mother of Laurel Johnson (husband Dylan Tansey) and Dean Johnson (wife Fiona Porter), Grandma Collins to Pierce and Ross Tansey and to William, Jimmy and Charlie Johnson, all of Kanata. Daughter of Beulah Wilson and the late Kenneth Collins, of Beachburg. Sister of Barbara McCafferty (husband Tom), Richard Collins and Anne Collins Carroll (husband Chuck Bryant). Sister-in-law to the late Arthur Johnson (wife Margaret) and to Eleanor Boire (husband Ray). Marilyn is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends. Our family extends a very special thanks to Dr. Farouk Mottiar, Pembroke and to Dr. Susan Gick and all the wonderful staff and volunteers of the Elizabeth Bruyere Palliative Care Unit. Visitation at the Malcolm Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St, Pembroke on Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Service in St Andrew's United Church, Beachburg on Monday at 11 a.m. Spring interment in the Beachburg Union Cemetery.
