MYERS, Margaret At her home after a bout with cancer on Sunday, July 6th, 2008. Margaret Myers (nee Wagstaff) of 2 Crandall Street, Pembroke. Predeceased in 1964 by husband John L. Walley. She leaves behind her devoted daughters Dr. Virginia M. Walley, Peterborough; and Dr. Amanda C. Walley of Pembroke and Birmingham, Alabama; her husband of 35 years Dr. David K. Myers is left to mourn the death of his best friend and companion. She will also be missed by her stepson Dr. Robert C. Myers and his wife Renee Schingh, Waterloo, and their children Gabrielle, Katia and Jasmine to whom she was Grandmere Margaret. Grateful thanks to Marilyn Craig, Dr. Rosemary Gilbert and to all her other special friends who supported her during the past months, and to Community Care Access in Pembroke. At Margaret's request, cremation has taken place. Friends may gather at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew Street, Pembroke on Saturday, July 12th from noon to time of service at 2 p.m. Those who wish to do so, may make a donation to the Renfrew County Branch of the Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (OSPCA).
