MATTHEWS, Margaret Jean Peacefully in Marianhill, Pembroke on Monday, July 4th, 2011 at the age of 88 years. Margaret Matthews (nee Martin) wife of the late Lloyd Matthews. Dear mother of Janice Schroeter (Richard), Stittsville; Grant Matthews (Ione), Pembroke; and Donald Matthews (Maureen), Westmeath. Loving gramma to Sherri Mackie (Alex), and Eric Schroeter; Melissa Patterson (Shawn), Mandy Gorr (Danny); Katie Matthews (Chad), Megan Burnette (Barry), Melanie Matthews-Tripard (Byron), Monica McGinnis (Jeremy), Marty Matthews, and 14 great-grandchildren. Daughter of the late Herbert and Gladys Martin (nee Price). Predeceased by brothers Mac and Ogal Martin. Sister-in-law of Lettie Johnson, Long Island, NY. Survived by nieces and nephews. Resting at the Malcolm, Deavitt and Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St, Pembroke on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.; and Thursday from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Service in the Chapel on Thursday at 11 a.m. Interment in Wesley United Cemetery.
