Margaret Jean Dainty

Dainty, Margaret Jean - With great sadness and a gratitude for a long and happy life, the family of Jean Dainty of Petawawa announce her peaceful passing on October 5, 2022 at the age of 104 years.   

Loving wife of the late Herb Freeston Dainty (2001). Mother of the late Bill Dainty (Sharon), Petawawa, Gerry Dainty (Marilyn), Whitby, and Linda Paterson (Keith), Petawawa.  Loved grandmother of Katie Chuk (Mike), William Dainty (Kim), Michael Dainty (Marjorie), Suzanne Georges (Ryan), Laura Paterson (Kevin) and Jon Paterson.  Remembered with great love by 9 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 

Born Margaret Jean Robinson, she was the eldest daughter of Charles and Katherine Robinson of West Wawanosh Twp, ON.  Sister of Irene Simpson (late Cliff).  Predeceased by brothers Gordon Robinson (late Lavina) and Edward Robinson (June), and sister-in-law Gwen Wood (late Don). 

Her passion and devotion to her children and grandchildren brought her tremendous happiness and she took great pride in their accomplishments. 

Cremation has taken place. A family graveside service at Mount Zion United Church Cemetery, Petawawa. In memory of Jean, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
