SPRICENIEKS, Major Visvaldis CD1 (Retired) Suddenly at home peacefully doing what he loved on Sunday, June 28, 2009. Val/Wally was the loving husband of Mary Lynn (nee MacMillan), proud father of Mara Michelle (Kevin Maves), Whitehorse YT; and Jeffrey Kyle (Amanda Twerdochlib), Edmonton AB; and special O'pop to his beloved grandson Aeden Kyle, Edmonton AB. He was born in Riga, Latvia, December 10, 1942 and was predeceased by his parents Krisjanis and Marta Spricenieks and son Christopher Kyle. He also leaves behind his sister, Ausma (Gunars Kaktins), Winnipeg MN; his brother Alfred (Dace Rosenburg), Bolton ON; and brother-in-law Elliott MacMillan (Marg), Mississauga ON; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Friends and family may call at the MALCOLM, DEAVITT & BINHAMMER Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Thursday for memorial visitation from 12-2 p.m. Private Memorial Service will follow.
