ACHTENBERG, Mabel Edna Peacefully in hospital, Pembroke on Tuesday, July 24th, 2007 at the age of 87 years. Mabel Achtenberg (nee Leeder), resident of Heritage Manor and formerly of Irving Street, Pembroke, wife of the late Norman Achtenberg. Dear mother of Gail Landry (husband Al), Whitby; Linda Kruschenski (husband Don), Pembroke; Diane Godwin (husband Wayne), Newcastle; and Melanie Achtenberg, Ottawa. Gramma to 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 5 great great gandchildren. Daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth Leeder (nee Heise). Mabel's family wishes to thank the management and staff at Heritage Manor and all the nurses and staff of 3rd Medical at the Pembroke Regional Hospital, with a special thankyou to Tom for all their kindness and care. Resting at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, l4l Renfrew Street, Pembroke on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Service in Zion Lutheran Church on Friday at 11 a.m. Interment in Zion Lutheran Cemetery.
