IN LOVING MEMORY OF LOWELL GRANT HAWKINS
HAWKINS, Lowell – passed away peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer, on Monday, April 6, 2020 at the age of 79 years.
Lowell Grant Hawkins of Pembroke, retired school teacher and music enthusiast, son of the late Bert & Irene Hawkins (nee Leach) and brother of the late Glenn (Lillian) Hawkins. He is survived by his nieces Jennifer (Jody) Lisk & Lisa Hawkins as well as many cousins and friends. Lowell will be sadly missed by past colleagues, students, friends and fellow musicians.
Lowell will forever be remembered for his sense of humour, huge heart and his love for being a teacher. As the family historian and storyteller, he never stopped educating and encouraging the people around him. His appreciation for music and the joy it brings will live on forever.
Respecting Lowell’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Graveside Service will be held at St. Stephen’s Anglican Cemetery, Micksburg on Friday, August 21, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, Pembroke. DUE TO THE CURRENT RESTRICTIONS REGARDING COVID-19, A LIMITED NUMBER OF PEOPLE ARE PERMITTED AT THE CEMETERY.
