Lois Joyce Rayson

RAYSON, Lois Joyce April 25, 1939 – April 16, 2017 Passed away peacefully with loving family by her side at the Ottawa Civic Hospital on Sunday, April 16, 2017 in her 78th year. Lois Rayson (nee Edwards) of Pembroke, leaves to mourn her true love and devoted husband Harold and her cherished sister Mona Kosmack (late Garnet). Aunt Lois will be fondly remembered by her nieces & nephews as well as many great-nieces & great-nephews. Her friendship will be treasured and dearly missed by her many good friends. Lois was the youngest daughter of the late Harvey & Etta Edwards (nee Charles). Predeceased by her siblings Gerald, Ken (late Doris), Grace Thrasher (late Mendel), Grant (late Erma) and infant sisters Doris & Janet. Also predeceased by sister-in-law Kathleen Rayson and brother-in-law John Rayson both of England. Lois was a devoted educator for 35 years at Laurentian Public School. She was truly a loving and giving person. Lois enjoyed her retirement years spending time in England at their lovely home by the sea. Visitation will be held at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Friday, April 21, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Pembroke on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Spring Interment will be held at Holy Trinity Anglican Cemetery on Saturday, May 6 at 12:30 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Pembroke Regional Hospital or Ottawa Civic Hospital would be appreciated.
