MATTHEWS, Lloyd James William In Marianhill, Pembroke on Thursday January 13th, 2005 at the age of 79 years. Lloyd Matthews, dearly loved husband of Margaret Matthews (nee Martin). Dear father of Janice Schroeter (husband Richard), Ottawa; Grant Matthews (wife Ione), Pembroke; and Donald Matthews (wife Maureen), Westmeath. Grandpa to Sherri Mackie (husband Alex), Kanata; Eric Schroeter, Toronto; Melissa Patterson (husband Shawn), Pembroke; Mandy Gorr (husband Daniel), Pembroke; Katie Matthews, Kingston; Megan Burnette (husband Barry), Arnprior; Melanie Matthews (Byron Tripard), Ottawa; Monica Matthews (Jeremy McGinnis), Ottawa; and Marty Matthews, Westmeath. Great grandfather to Makenna, Lydia, Connor and Delany, Mallory and Tyler, and Hunter. Son of the late Gordon and Laurel Matthews (nee Carmichael). Dear brother of Lettie Johnson (husband Paul), Levittown, Long Island, New York. Predeceased by brother Grant Matthews. A special thank-you to Lloyd's friend and caregiver Anne-Marie Lance. Resting at the Malcolm Deavitt and Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew Street, Pembroke on Saturday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.; and Sunday from 12 noon to 2 p.m. Service in the Chapel on Sunday at 2 p.m. Spring interment in Calvin United Cemetery.
