Linda Isabell Cree

Passed away peacefully at Miramichi Lodge, Pembroke, Ontario on Tuesday, December 05, 2023 at the age of 74.

Linda Cree (nee Colquhoun), resident of Miramichi Lodge, formerly a resident of Supples Landing, Micksburg, Ontario; Scotland and Zambia.  Dear wife of the late David Cree (2011 February). Survived by David’s sons Dave (Wendy), Scotland; Alan (Sheila), England and Gary (Lorna), Scotland.  Predeceased by her parents Isabell and Ian Colquhoun.  Survived by two brothers Garfield Colquhoun, Kamloops, B.C. and Craig Colquhoun, Edmonton.

In years past, Linda was a high school teacher in Petawawa, a dancer with the Scottish Country Dance Group, a member of the Tartan Ceilidh Club, a golfer, loved to crochet, cook, and read.  After she retired in 2009, Linda was an avid attender of aquafit at the Pembroke Kinsmen Pool, enjoyed card making, playing dice games, sudoku, mahjongg and cribbage.  Linda enjoyed listening to country/western music.  

Respecting Linda’s wishes, cremation has taken place.  Her ashes, along with her late husband’s, will be returned to Perth, Scotland.  Arrangements entrusted to Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, Pembroke, Ontario.  As an expression of sympathy, donations to Miramichi Lodge would be appreciated.
