WRIGHT, Lillian Mary – passed away peacefully at Marianhill on Friday, August 14, 2020 in her 95th year.

Lillian Wright (nee Broome) formerly of Rankin, wife of the late Wellington “Welly” Wright.  Dear mother of Robert “Bob” Wright (Eleanor), Beachburg; Linda Sutton (Sam), Micksburg; and Burton Wright (the late Sylvia), Campbell River, BC.  Grandmother of Steven (Hope) & Curtis (Amy) Wright; Jennifer & Todd Sutton; and Trisha (Casar) & Nicole (Benny) Wright. Great-grandmother of Anika, Akina, Khloe & Berkley; Franklin & Walter; and Gabriella & Liam.   Daughter of the late John and Margaret Broome (nee Baird).  Predeceased by sisters Lois Anderson & Evelyn Dougherty and by brothers Ivan, Harry, Lorne, Lester, Allan and Harvey.  

A special thanks to the wonderful nurses, PSW’s and support staff at Marianhill, especially on 2C – your dedication, compassion and care for our mother will be forever cherished. 

Due to COVID restrictions, a private family graveside service will be held at St. Stephen’s Anglican Cemetery, Micksburg on Wednesday, August 19, 2020. As an expression of sympathy, donations to St. Stephen’s Anglican Cemetery or the Cobden & District Foodbank would be appreciated.  Online donations/condolences are available at www.mdbfuneralhome.com. FACE MASKS OR COVERINGS ARE REQUIRED AT THE GRAVESIDE SERVICE.  You are welcome to bring your own face mask or one will be supplied to you upon arrival.
