WAITO, Leona - passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family, on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at the age of 95 years.

Leona Ella Edna Waito (nee Burger) of Pembroke, beloved wife of the late Frank Waito (2009). Dear mother of Larry Waito (Janine), Westmeath; Debbie Trimble (Bob), Milton; Leanne Clark (Wayne), Edmonton; Connie Brocklebank (Ed), Erin and predeceased by daughter Linda Ward (Alfred) and son Terry Waito. Cherished grandmother of Stephen & Micheal Ward; Jodi Colligan & late Jamey Waito; Curtis & Jake Brocklebank and Amanda & Kyla Clark. Great-grandmother of Tyler Laporte & Kasey Ward; Mackenzie Ward; Jayden & Jacob Colligan and Cy & Charlie Brocklebank. Great-great-grandmother of Rylan Laporte. Survived by sisters Erva Hebert (late Edore) and Eileen Walton (late Fred) and predeceased by siblings Simon Burger (late Emma), Esther Levere (late Lloyd) and Doug Burger (late Shirley). Will be missed by many nieces, nephews and family friends.

Visitation will be held at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m., followed by a service in the chapel.
