HIGHTOWER, Laura Martha Peacefully at Marianhill, Pembroke on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at the age of 85 years. Laura Hightower (nee Bowes) of Pembroke, dear wife of Walter (Wally) Hightower. Loving mother of Drew Hightower (wife Jo Ann), Ottawa; Elizabeth Hightower (husband Gerard Bourque), Ottawa; and Sharon Clifton (husband Ben), Trenton. Nanny to Meghan & Cale; Rebecca; and Tanya & Karolann. Daughter of the late Edward & Martha Bowes (nee Laundry). Sister of Stanley Bowes (wife Joyce), London. Predeceased by brothers Stirling & Graydon Bowes; and sisters Vivian McLellan, Esther Rabishaw & Frances Webber. Visitation will be held at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Friday evening from 7-9:00 p.m. and on Saturday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. until time of the Funeral Service in the Chapel at 3:00 p.m. Cremation to follow.
